Establishment of a subscription
An application via the website does not constitute a definitive subscription. Carsub may correct an apparent error in an offer and may refuse an application. Amounts already paid that correspond to a rejected application will be refunded.
- The car remains the property of the car company that offers it through Carsub.
- You provide complete and correct information. Your identity, creditworthiness and driver's license may be checked.
- After acceptance, the payment request and digital order confirmation follow. The subscription is created after signing it.
- The subscription is concluded between you and the car company. Carsub takes care of communication and payment transactions.
- Drivers are at least 24 years old and have held a valid driving license issued in the EEA for at least two years.
In principle, consumers have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal. If you want to receive the car within that period, the separate consent and waiver rules from the full terms and conditions apply. The make, model and version are stated in the order confirmation; the color may differ.
Term and Termination
The subscription starts with the transfer of the car and is entered into for the agreed term. After that, it will be extended by one month each time, unless you or Carsub cancel in time. According to the conditions, a notice period of at least one month applies.
- Cancellation is done via the appropriate option in the account environment.
- Carsub can immediately terminate on behalf of the car company in the event of, among other things, persistent non-payment, incorrect information, seizure, serious damage or manipulation of the GPS tracker.
- In the event of misuse or termination, the car can be retrieved and the associated costs can be charged.
- In the event of premature termination during the fixed term, the official text mentions a compensation of 30% of the remaining rate.
After termination, the parties agree on the date and location for returning the car. The car is inspected and the findings are recorded.
What is and is not included?
The monthly rate includes depreciation, international breakdown assistance, road tax, repairs, maintenance and insurance, according to the conditions. Exceptions for certain repairs or maintenance remain possible.
Not included are general running costs including fuel or electricity, washing and cleaning, daily maintenance such as topping up fluids, parking, tolls, traffic fines, navigation updates and accessories.
You choose a kilometer bundle. Additional kilometers driven can be paid for in the meantime or at the end according to the rate list. Carsub may request the mileage from you, the car company, a maintenance party or via the GPS tracker. Fewer kilometers driven will not be paid out, but can be taken into account upon renewal according to the conditions.
Costs and payment
The rate applies per thirty days and depends on the car, duration, mileage bundle and the chosen deductible. Government measures and changes in taxes or insurance, among other things, can be passed on. Amounts include VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Registration fees, the deposit and the first monthly fee may be due at the start.
- According to the official conditions, the deposit is equal to the monthly rate, with a minimum of € 500.
- A final statement is prepared within 45 days after the car is returned. Outstanding costs may be deducted from the deposit.
- Subsequent installments are collected monthly. If payment is overdue, interest, collection costs and termination may follow.
Amounts for, among other things, extra kilometers, concierge service, damage or late return are included in the official rate list.
Exchanging and exchanging the car
After the agreed term, you can request another car with at least one month's notice. A new order confirmation will follow and a possible adjustment of the rate and deposit will follow.
Exchange can be done via the paid concierge service or on your own initiative. When returned, the car is clean, personal items have been removed and all supplied keys and documents are present. A fuel car is returned with a full tank; for an electric car the source mentions a minimum of 80% battery charge.
Charges may apply for early or late pick-up or return without an appointment. During the subscription, Carsub may replace a car with an equivalent or better car of the same make and model.
Use of the car
A maximum of two registered drivers can drive per subscription. They must meet the age and driving license requirements, handle the car carefully and comply with all traffic rules, instructions and safety measures.
In the event of an accident, damage or theft, collect evidence and documentation, contact the police immediately where necessary and report the incident to Carsub and the car company within 24 hours.
The car may not be used, among other things, by a non-registered driver, on impassable terrain, for races, driving lessons, commercial transport or subletting, under the influence, for smoking or to transport dangerous substances. Use outside the EEA and repairs or modifications without permission are not permitted.
Carsub may have the car inspected. The car is equipped with a GPS tracker; disabling, removing or manipulating them is not permitted.
Maintenance
You follow the maintenance schedule and regularly check oil, coolant and brake fluid and tire pressure. The car company organizes planned maintenance, inspections and recalls; you ensure that the car is available on time.
Maintenance or repairs on your own initiative are only permitted with prior permission. Cars are supplied with summer or all-weather tires. Winter tires are optional and not included as standard in the rate.
Insurance and liability
The car is insured at least third party liability insurance according to the conditions and has passenger insurance. The insurer's terms and conditions apply additionally. The standard deductible is €1,500 per incident and can be reduced for a fee.
Uninsured damage and damage due to unauthorized use, unauthorized repairs, incorrect refueling or loading, negligence or leaving the car unattended may be at your expense. Therefore, do not have defects repaired yourself, but contact Carsub first.
The official terms and conditions also state that Carsub is not liable for the actions or omissions of the car company.
Other provisions
- Carsub can change the conditions and will inform you at least seven days in advance, according to the source. In the event of a material change, you may terminate as of the effective date.
- Obligations may be suspended in the event of force majeure. If the situation lasts longer than one month, either party can terminate.
- Carsub does not guarantee permanent or error-free availability of the website; general website information does not automatically create rights.
- Rights and obligations under the terms and conditions may not be transferred without prior written permission.
- Dutch law applies. Consumer disputes go to the competent Dutch court; business disputes according to the source to the Overijssel court, Almelo location.
